On Thursday, October 26 Delview Secondary will be kicking off their 25th annual canned food drive!  It is – in fact -- the largest one-night food drive in British Columbia with over 600 volunteers comprising of students, parents, and staff. The total number of non-perishable cans of food being collected over the entire history of this food drive from this little school to 300,000. It is a tribute to the work and determination of the students of this small school of 700 -- volunteer drivers -- and staff organizers at Delview. It is also a reflection of the generosity of the community-at-large in North Delta to respond with such kindness. Kickoff is at 5:30 but the real magic happens after 8:00 pm.  As well, Friday morning when the Surrey Food Bank and DeltaAssist come to pick up the thousands of canned goods, its quite a sight to watch the students load the trucks! With this being our 25th year, our goal is 25,000 non-perishable food items!  Students will be coming door to door asking for donations!  If you are not available, please leave items in a bag or box on the front step marked T4G!  We thank you for your donation!
